LCAHY & THY Post LCAHY’s Signage to Discourage Distribution of Alcohol to Minors
The LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) and its youth coalition, Teens for Healthy Youth (THY) posted LCAHY’s Signage at Coligny Plaza in Hilton Head Island to discourage providing alcohol to minors. LCAHY and THY posted signage at restaurants and local businesses that read, “We Know the Law Do You?, Are you 21? No ID=No Sale” and “Stop Underage Drinking”. Coligny Plaza in Hilton Head is a hot spot for underage drinking and an area frequented by many, especially during tourist season. Posting signage to discourage providing alcohol to minors is part of LCAHY’s Strategic Action plan to reduce youth access to alcohol. LCAHY and THY also plan to post signage at local gas stations and other restaurants in additional hot spots areas.
