LowCountry Alliance for Healthy Youth (LCAHY) Board Members staffed an informational table during the annual Back to School Fun Day sponsored by Bluffton Area Community Association. Back to School Fun Day provides parents and students opportunities to connect with community organizations. LCAHY provided students returning to school with a pocket folder and a coloring sheet that provided prevention and wellness tips in English and Spanish as well as a pencil with an inspirational message. LCAHY also shared their informational brochure and Teen Stress Fact Card with individuals that attended the event. Other LCAHY informational fact cards available included Suicide Prevention, Latino Youth Stress & Mental Health, and Talk Early and Often Parent/Caregiver Fact Card. LCAHY plans to participate annually to promote healthy lifestyles for our youth in the community and create an awareness of the coalition and its youth coalition, Teens for Healthy Youth.
